Events and Initiatives help further our mission by raising funds. Most importantly, our events and initiatives help build awareness in our community members, business members former alumni, parents, students, and district employees.
Amazon Smile: You support our schools and students when you shop on AmazonSmile. If you choose Kane Education Foundation as the charity of your choice, Amazon will donate a percentage of the sales to the Kane Education Foundation—at no cost to you. You may want to add a bookmark to smile.amazon.com to make it even easier to return and start your shopping at AmazonSmile. You use the same account on Amazon.com and AmazonSmile. Your shopping cart, wish lists, wedding or baby registry, and other account settings are also the same. You will find the same prices, vast selection, and convenience as Amazon.com but with the added bonus that AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of your purchase price from eligible AmazonSmile purchases to the Kane Education Foundation. That is a good reason to smile.
KSL Quarters: Kane Education Foundation was selected to be a recipient of the KSL’s Quarters for Christmas program. Our district received $400.00 worth of Walmart gift cards that were distributed to all seven of the county’s rural schools. KSL News Radio and KSL 5 TV distribute 100% of donations made to KSL’s Quarters for Christmas to Utah organizations that have the means and expertise to make sure our students have a coat as well as adequate shoes, socks, and clothing to stay warm at recess or while walking to and from school. Addressing these most basic needs of our students improves the outcomes for our most valuable resource, our children.
Maps and Posters: Each map sold at the Kane County Office of Tourism benefits the students of Kane County. In 2016, students benefited from nearly $3,000 that came from the sale of our maps to tourists visiting Kane County.
